This project comes as an idea to improve the branding of Sophilabs. It should be a product that all employees would use, but also should serve as a promotional item company. So the shirt couldn't be the "classic promotional shirt" with the logo on the front and a simple claim.
The first steps jurisdiction on paper. Many sketches, options and ideas that led to the determination of the desired graphic style. Inspired by steampunk objects, I decided to break up a notebook in its basic operation parts, elements that anyone would think that has a computer inside, such as batteries, fans, cables, file system, and switches.
Then I decided to redraw the sketches using Illustrator, so that I could clean the paths and test some colors on it. Also, while drawing the paths I corrected every angle and added some new items, like the film roll with the creation of the company's logo and some other small details.
The ideas behind the logo of Sophilabs are creation and knowledge, and maybe "the principle of things". The logo would be generated from a planet with its satellite above. A good idea to make a movie.
Knowing it would be a t-shirt for the company, not only was sufficient detail of the movie on the monitor, we needed to make more visible the brand, so, the company name was written following a kind of calligraphy with the computer's cable.
I also realized that I had never thought of the keyboard, so add some keys, (if you look up the word is "sophi") to give a more accurate idea of exploded view.
And finally, after adding all the details and map all paths, we tested colors. At this point the printing system was a little critical. Silkscreen was used with three inks so the colors had to fit every chosen shirt color.
Two color models were made. One with orange details and another with details in blue. The beige and dark gray shirts were printed with details in blue, in the rest was used the orange.
